Shahu Lake scenic area in Ningxia Hui autonomous region is hosting a "Making Friends With Water" program, which runs until Aug 13, allowing visitors to take a cooling break from the summer heat. On the golden beach by the lake, the sunlight casts a brilliant glow, adding vibrancy and life to the desert. Visitors from all over the country, armed with various water guns and other toys, make this desert oasis their summer playground. As visitors splash water over each other, the cool droplets scatter like pearls, instantly turning into wisps of mist in the hot air, bringing waves of refreshment.

The scenic area hosts fun games and competitions, which are suitable for both young and elderly visitors. Each game has set prizes, including entertainment and dining vouchers, always drawing big crowds of enthusiastic competitors. Meanwhile, a great number of exciting water leisure activities, including kayaking, paddleboarding, dynamic speedboats and self-driving motorboats, allow visitors to experience the coolness of Shahu Lake.
