Every March is the begining of birdwatching season in Shizuishan, Ningxia Hui autonomous region, which is situated along a vital migratory route for birds in China's northwest region. Various migratory birds can be observed at different times at Xinghai Lake National Wetland Park, Sand Lake Scenic Area, and Yinhe Bay Scenic Area.

By integrating ecological urban development with bird protection, the city has effectively combined ecological governance, technological innovation, and social mobilization, enabling people and nature to coexist harmoniously.
