Ningxia's Guyuan regional specialties to enter Suzhou

Guyuan city in Ningxia Hui autonomous region is set to stage a major agricultural, cultural, and tourism promotional event at the Suzhou International Expo Center in Suzhou, Jiangsu province from Oct 17 to 19.

Leveraging its rich ecological environment, Guyuan, framed by the Liupan Mountains, will present high-quality regional specialties, including premium beef, distinctive cool-season vegetables, and staple grains. This initiative aims to introduce the diverse and authentic flavours of Northwest China to the prominent Suzhou market and enhance economic ties between the regions.

The event will feature six dedicated exhibition zones, focusing on key themes, including the Jingyuan County Characteristic Exhibition, Liupan Mountains Beef, Liupan Mountains Cool-Season Vegetables, Agricultural Products, Cultural and Creative Products, and a dedicated Food Tasting Area.

A total of 45 enterprises from Guyuan's speciality agriculture sector, along with five tourism and cultural enterprises, will pariticipate on-site to promote their high-quality goods and services.

Furthermore, the Food Tasting Area will see Guyuan's catering professionals preparing local delicacies, such as Jingyuan crispy beef patties and signature beef hotpot, showcasing the versatility of their regional produce and satisfying the appetite of the guests.

Adding to the fun, a team of 20 professional chefs from Guyuan will simultaneously participate in a national golden chef cuisine exhibition and exchange invitation competition, also being held in Suzhou from Oct 17 to 18. This platform will allow the chefs to demonstrate their skill through improvisational culinary creations, using unique ingredients carefully sourced from the Liupan Mountains.
