As the arrival of winter, Jingyuan county in Guyuan, Ningxia Hui autonomous region, ushers in a new tourism season for skiing.

The Yahao International Ski Resort has set up 16 snowmaking machines across the resort to prepare the snow-covered slopes since Nov 15.

The resort will start the soft opening on Dec 25, followed by its official opening on Dec 27. It will build a new ski area for children and introduce multiple interesting facilities such as snowmobiles and snow excavators this year, catering to the needs of families and children.

At the same time, to ensure safe and orderly operation, the resort has focused on upgrading its professional facilities, including building a new six-meter-high kicker to support training for professional teams. It has also carried out comprehensive debugging, maintenance and cleaning for facilities, including snowmaking equipment, conveyor belts and ski lifts.

The resort has organized several domestic competitions since its reopening in 2022, attracting tourists from all over the world. By offering specialized services, including entertainment, accommodation and catering, it has created more jobs for local residents. It continues to boost winter tourism in Guyuan while driving the regional ice and snow economy.
