The 2025 Intangible Cultural Heritage Brand Promotion Week themed "Brands lead development, intangible cultural heritage (ICH) ignites life" kicked off on Nov 23 in Dali, Yunnan province.

The Liusanduo eight-treasure tea, representing the ICH in the Ningxia Hui autonomous region, was invited to display the inheritance and innovation of Ningxia's gaiwan (lidded-bowl) tea.

Originating from the Yellow River and passed on for five generations, the Liusanduo eight-treasure tea has stayed true to the traditional gaiwan tea culture, which embodies the philosophy that "heaven and man are united as one".

It is crafted with local tea from Ningxia and selected natural ingredients including goji berries, red dates, and longan, offering a daily delight for Ningxia natives to nourish lungs and balance the inner dryness.

In addition, Liusanduo has put effort into developing new products including zero-sugar and herbal health series, and built tea art museums to provide immersive experience, contributing to the modernization of the ICH. Integrating traditional tea culture with modern consumption and health concept, it has widely recognized as a cultural souvenir of Ningxia.

At the exhibition, the mellow flavor and traditional handmade technique of the eight-treasure tea have attracted many visitors.

This event has not only demonstrated brand characteristics but also promoted exchanges and cooperation of the ICH between Ningxia and other regions.
