Mingcui Lake National Wetland Park in Yinchuan, Ningxia Hui autonomous region, has gained nationwide attention after being selected as one of China's first model ecotourism destinations by the National Forestry and Grassland Administration.

The wetland park covers a total area of 589.33 hectares, including 478.27 hectares of wetland. It is home to complex wetland ecosystems such as lakes, mudflats and marshes.

The wetland park is located at the intersection of two major international migratory bird routes and is an important route for bird migration in the Yellow River Basin. It is rich in wildlife and plant resources, with 97 species of birds.

The wetland park has developed a new ecotourism model that combines environmental protection with tourism. Relying on wetland resources, it has created a 3-kilometer reed maze cruise route and leisure offerings such as cycling around the lake and ecological fishing.

It has also offered diverse research courses and launched unique cultural and creative products and specialty foods, shifting away from sightseeing and toward in-depth experiences.
