Welcome to Sand Lake or Shahu Lake Scenic Area in Shizuishan, Ningxia Hui autonomous region, where you can see groups of wild geese flying with you when the speedboat slowly moves forward on the lake surface.

Groups of geese follow closely, flapping their wings and flying together, and the distant sound of geese echoes on the water's surface. The scene shows the coexistence of birds and humans, the ultimate healing power of natural scenery, and the lake's unique ecological romance.

The lake is an important stopover for migratory birds around the world. Here, with abundant water and grass, excellent water quality, and a peaceful living environment, the unique ecological conditions provide a high-quality home for migratory birds to rest and reproduce.

Since 2021, the scenic area has partnered with a professional bird training team to raise flocks of geese, guided by the principles of scientific domestication, low disturbance protection, and warm protection.

After years of careful maintenance, the flock of geese has grown from just over a hundred to over a thousand today, forming a stable and gentle flock that can fly in formation.
