The General Administration of Sport of China announced eight outdoor sports boutique routes for the 2026 National Day holiday on Sept 15, with one route in Yinchuan, Ningxia Hui autonomous region, making the list.

The "Listening to the Wind, Stepping on the Sand, Viewing the Great Wall" route is rooted in the natural resources of the Yellow River coast in Yinchuan's Xingqing district, connecting resources such as Yellow River wetlands, ancient Great Wall relics, and waterfront greenways.

The route serves as an outdoor experience corridor that combines ecological sightseeing, sports and fitness, and cultural experiences, catering to the needs of a wide range of outdoor enthusiasts.

In recent years, the district has constantly promoted the deep integration of sports and cultural tourism industries, improved outdoor public sports facilities, enriched the supply of outdoor sports products, and created new scenarios for outdoor sports consumption.
