The News Agency of BIT is a non-profit student organization. The organization is supervised by instructors from the News Center of BIT. The main function of the News Agency is to run BIT's English website.
It provide a range of services including news production, information sourcing, text translation, photography, image processing, video dubbing and editing for the official English website of BIT and its related international divisions.
The News Agency of BIT is composed of three sections: Translation, Journalism, and Management and Communications.
The Aims of the BIT News Agency:
Unity -- To build a harmonious organization and to work together in unity.
Learning -- To build an academic spirit and progress through foreign language learning.
Keenness & Wisdom -- To be keen on different perspectives of news and wise in formulating thoughts.
Responsibility -- To insist on accurate translation, to pursue objectivity in news and to strive for being an international vanguard of BIT.
Working at the News Agency
Foreign students are welcome to join the News Agency of BIT and provide administrative assistance to the Office of the News Center to enhance international publicity and the development of internationalization.

Sections
1. Journalism
Job contents:
1) Covering news, activities, and research in-depth related to foreign students.
2) Dubbing for the BIT Videos column.
3) Taking photos for the News & Events and BIT Stories columns on the homepage.
2. Translation
Job contents:
1) Translating news from BIT's Chinese website.
2) Improving and rectifying any English translations.
3. Management and Communications
Job contents:
1) Procuring office supplies and creating budgets.
2) Seeking sponsorships for News Agency activities.
3) Communicating with other student groups and/or administrative offices at BIT.
Requirements
1. International students of BIT
2. Good oral and/or written English
3. Good news sensitivity, and/or high enthusiasm for work
4. Native language not limited to English
