The Beijing Institute of Technology (BIT) held the new year celebration and annual commendation ceremony for international students on its Liangxiang Campus in Beijing on Dec 27.

Wang Ying, director of the Office of International Students of the BIT, delivered a speech, reviewing the fantasitc 10-year journey of the "Study at BIT" action plan.

At the beginning of the event, the video "Study at BIT, Brilliant 10 Years" took everyone on a retrospective journey through an extraordinary decade. 

During the annual commendation segment, awards including the "Favorite Mentor of the Year" and "Favorite Foreign Affairs Officer of the Year" were presented to outstanding mentor and foreign affairs officer, winners of major events, and outstanding international students.

Guests, along with relevant departments and college leaders, presented certificates to the award-winning teachers and students. 

Hou Fujun, a teacher from the School of Management and Economics, Mustakim MD Mizanur Rahman, a student from the School of Computer Science, and Khan Malak Abid Ali, a student from the School of Automation, spoke respectively on behalf of the award-winning teachers and students.

The celebration section began with a performance titled "Drum Music of Splendid China" by the Twenty-Four Solar Terms Drum Team organized by Malaysian students. 

Enthusiastic song and dance performances such as "China in the Lights," "Hello, Colorful World," and "Dance of Four Seas" showcased the youth and vitality of international students from various countries, conveying their heartfelt New Year blessings to all the faculty and students. 

The fashion show "Around the Globe" combined dynamic and static elements, highlighting the integration of Chinese and foreign cultures. 

The alumni program "China Connection of Ikram's Family" showcased the deep affection of two generations for the BIT, touching the hearts of the audience. 

The Kung Fu show "Auspicious World of Martial Arts," which won first place in the group competition of the martial arts competition for international students in Beijing, demonstrated the magnificent charm of traditional Chinese culture. 

The children from the experimental school affiliated with the Beijing Institute of Technology, together with international students, sang "Rice Fragrance," praising the abundance of life in song. 

The entire celebration concluded with the song "Loving Each Other" in an amiable atmosphere.
