Uzbek energy ministry delegation visits BIT

A delegation from the ministry of energy, Uzbekistan, visits Beijing Institute of Technology.

Uzbekistan's Jurabek Mirzamahmudov led a delegation of the ministry of energy to visit Beijing Institute of Technology (BIT) on Dec 26.

Wang Bencong, BIT vice-president, extended a warm welcome to the delegation, introducing the recent development of the university in talent cultivation, scientific research, team building, and open education, as well as the latest cooperation status with Uzbekistan.

Wang said BIT is in a leading position in the field of new energy vehicles in China, being consistently dedicated to technological innovation and application. He expressed a willingness to actively engage in practical cooperation with Uzbekistan in the future, jointly promoting the establishment and implementation of a national monitoring and management platform for new energy vehicles and charging facilities, as well as the formulation of national standards in Uzbekistan, to support the development of the new energy vehicle industry in both countries.

Mirzamahmudov praised the achievements of BIT in the field of new energy vehicles. He said Uzbekistan attaches great importance to cooperation with China, especially in the promising field of new energy vehicles.

He said the joint establishment of a national monitoring and management platform for new energy vehicles and charging facilities, as well as the formulation of corresponding standards and regulations, holds significant importance. He said he hoped the visit would encourage experts from both sides to explore cooperation, fully benefiting from the advanced experiences of BIT.

During the visit, the National Engineering Research Center for Electric Vehicles provided a detailed introduction to the national supervision platform for new energy vehicles in China, focusing on reporting and exchanging information on the operational status of new energy vehicles, the layout of charging facilities, and data security supervision. They discussed topics such as the development trends of new energy vehicle technology, policy environment, market demand and future work plans.
