Beijing Institute of Technology
The Outstanding Young Talent Science Fund Program (Overseas) of Beijing Institute of Technology is designed to attract outstanding young scholars from overseas (including non-Chinese foreign talents) who have achieved excellent results in natural sciences, engineering and other fields to return to China. Candidates can choose their own research directions, conduct innovative research, promote the rapid growth of young scientific and technological talents, cultivate a group of outstanding academic backbones expected to enter the forefront of world science and technology, and contribute to the construction of a strong country in science and technology.
Basic application requirements for the candidates
1. Comply with the laws and regulations of the People's Republic of China, possess good scientific ethics, and consciously practice the spirit of scientists in the new era;
2. Born on or after January 1, 1985;
3. Hold a doctoral degree;
4. The research direction is mainly in natural sciences, engineering, and other fields;
5. After obtaining a doctoral degree until April 15, 2025, candidates generally should have obtained a formal teaching or research position in overseas universities, research institutions, or enterprise R&D institutions, with at least 36 months of continuous work experience; for those who have obtained a doctoral degree overseas and have outstanding achievements, the work experience requirement may be appropriately relaxed;
6. Have research or technical achievements recognized by peers, and have the potential to become a leading figure or outstanding talent in the field;
7. The applicants have not yet returned to work full-time in China, or returned to work in China after January 1, 2024. After receiving the funding notification, the applicants must resign from overseas work and work full-time in China for no less than three years.
