Wenbo center

Wenbo center, located in Liangxiang Campus of Beijing Institute of Technology (BIT), has become the new landmark of the university.

After six-month trial operation since September 2024, the military industry exhibition has officially opened at the Wenbo center.

The exhibition displays over 170 precious exhibits including lunar soil, the flag planted on the moon, Taihang engines, and over 380 precious pictures, making it a significant representation of BIT's educational characteristics, history and spirit.

These exhibits represent not only classic equipment in the development of the country’s military industry, but also bear witness to the university´s journey in cultivating the first generation of defense engineers in China.

In coordination with the exhibition hall's display of large equipment, BIT has organized on-site teaching for undergraduate courses such as "Armored Vehicle Design" and "Fire Control System Design", providing immersive teaching environments and tangible educational results. The approach not only helps students better grasp professional knowledge but also enhances the form of course-based ideological and political education.

In addition to the military industry exhibition, the manned space culture exhibition is also about to open to teachers and students at the Wenbo center.

In recent years, BIT has accelerated the construction of its cultural venues, yielding good results. In the future, BIT plans to continuously promote the high-quality development of top university culture, explore new models for the construction of university cultural venues and education, provide cultural support for building world-class universities with Chinese characteristics, and contribute new wisdom and strength to the construction of a strong country in education.
