The 2020 Dual Circulation Logistics Enterprises Roundtable Talkfest was held in Qingdao on Nov 12. Representatives from more than 20 enterprises including domestic and foreign trade shipping companies, and coastal and inland ports attended the event to exchange views on better leveraging the role of logistics in supporting economic development.

Li Fengli, deputy Party secretary, director and general manager of Shandong Port Group (SPG), delivered a speech at the talkfest. Cai Zhongtang, deputy general manager of SPG, chaired the event, while SPG deputy general managers, Ma Deliang and Sun Zhengfu, attended it.

Centering on the "dual circulation" logistics, the enterprises talkfest was held in Qingdao Nov 13, the event raised suggestions on a logistics enterprise collaboration mechanism under the dual circulation strategy.

According to the officials, SPG will join hands with major national port groups, liner companies, network freight enterprises, e-commerce service companies and national logistics hubs to jointly initiate the logistics enterprise collaboration mechanism under the dual circulation strategy.

The group also mapped out the path forward with logistics and supply chain providers on new opportunities and challenges presented by the new development pattern. In this context, new contributions and efforts will be made to balance anti-epidemic work and economic and social progress, foster a huge domestic market as well as build a new economic development paradigm in order to smooth domestic economic circulation and modern logistics systems.

In his speech, Li said that the logistics industry is fundamental, strategic and pioneering, and also an overarching strategic support for the new development model for port groups in China. Taking full advantages of the alliance, SPG will work together with supply and industrial chains, the upper and lower reaches of logistics chains as well as related enterprises to further promote connectivity, build an intelligent supply chain system and establish a quality platform to forge new synergies among ports, shipping companies, airlines and inland enterprises. With concerted efforts, they will all make greater contributions to better smoothing domestic circulation, connecting domestic and international circulations and boosting the new development pattern.
