Shandong Port Group (SPG), the world's largest port conglomerate in terms of cargo capacity, operated safely and smoothly during the five-day May Day holiday, which ran from April 30 to May 4, according to the port's authorities.

The five port areas of Yantai Port are a hive of activity, and from April 40 to May 1. The number of ships berthing and leaving the ports increased by more than 30 compared with the same period last year, and the cargo throughput of ports in Yantai grew by 22 percent year-on-year.
