Shandong Port Group (SPG) launched the "Gangyuncang" e-warehouse receipt platform at the ecological protection and high-quality development of the Yellow River Basin of Rizhao city and SPG seminar on July 15. During the event, Bank of Rizhao, Bank of Qingdao, China Zheshang Bank, and Ping An Bank were included in the first batch of banks that have access to the platform.

SPG currently boasts 21 major port areas and 342 productive berths. Its aggregate storage and warehouse areas cover 30 million square meters, and the total length of its crude oil pipeline surpasses 2,000 kilometers. In 2021, SPG's cargo throughput exceeded 1.5 billion metric tons and its overall container volume amounted to 34 million TEUs, ranking first and third in the world, respectively. In this context, such favorable warehousing conditions, abundant on-site resources and complete facilities have provided strong support for launching the e-warehouse receipt platform.

The "Gangyuncang" e-warehouse receipt platform offers a one-stop cloud solution that's tailored for bulk commodity transactions, and makes it possible for its customers to deal with related issues through the online platform.

The port is endowed with excellent advantages to develop the digital economy as it has pooled together a large number of customer, informational, capital, commercial, and logistical resources. The "Gangyuncang" platform, which was built based on the fundamentals of the port, can create a digital ecology of bulk commodities, and cultivate a digital platform with a national and global influence. It is also expected to help SPG achieve leapfrog development in transforming into an international shipping hub.
