The first train carrying automobiles for export to Kazakhstan left Qingdao Port in Shandong province on March 28. 

The train carried 261 cars and was operated by the Jinan Branch of China Railway Express.

Compared to traditional road and container transportation, the train reduces transportation time and costs by more than 20 percent, significantly reducing the comprehensive logistics costs of customers and enhancing their global resource allocation capabilities. Its operation is expected to bring an annual increase of 10,000 vehicles to the port's vehicle business.

The launch of the new vehicle logistics model injects new vitality into Qingdao Port's service for the Belt and Road Initiative and supports the construction of the Central Asian Sea-Land Corridor. It effectively enhances Qingdao's service capabilities in vehicle logistics. In the future, Qingdao Port will spare no efforts to develop the market, vigorously expand new sources of goods and new routes, and improve the efficiency of its vehicle transfer center, contributing to the rise of China's automotive industry and its global supply chain.
