Shandong Port Land-sea International Logistics Group Company, a subsidiary of the giant Shandong Port Group, or SPG, recently established its first overseas logistics center in the city of Pyeongtaek in South Korea.

SPG - the world's largest ports conglomerate in terms of cargo capacity - is based in the port city of Qingdao in Shandong province in East China. Founded in 2019, it integrated the major ports in the province, including Qingdao Port.

The new logistics center covers a total area of 56,000 square meters and is located near the port of Pyeongtaek. It can provide its customers with one-stop services such as cold-chain logistics, bonded logistics and cross-border e-commerce.

The center is expected to help SPG to expand its business in South Korea, helping the group to make fresh breakthroughs in its overseas layout.

The establishment of the center is said to be SPG's strategic move to better serve and integrate into the new development paradigm - helping the rapidly expanding group to build an international logistics channel linking the world.
