Shandong Port Group (SPG) held a promotion event in Germany's Munich on May 10 to introduce its business and attract investment. This move aimed to further enhance Germany's understanding of SPG, as well as to strengthen cooperation between SPG and German enterprises to achieve win-win results and help build an open world economy.

During the event, the heads of SPG's four subsidiaries, namely Qingdao Port, as well as its Logistics Group, Trade Group, and Overseas Development Group promoted themselves respectively, while the head of SPG's European office promoted the group's projects in Europe to attract investment.

Over the years, China-Germany trade and economic cooperation have advanced deeper and closer. China has been Germany's largest global trading partner seven years in a row. Shandong province has served as a significant participant in China's trade with Germany, while Germany has become Shandong's largest trading partner among EU countries.

The holding of this promotion event is a pragmatic move for SPG to follow the trend of opening-up, as well as to serve and smooth the trade connectivity between China and Europe. It also illustrated the group's efforts in serving national strategies and shouldering responsibility as a State-owned enterprise.

Going forward, SPG plans to fully leverage its role as a hub and a bridge, create a first-class comprehensive supply chain service system based on ports, as well as accelerate the building of an international shipping hub center in Northeast Asia. It aims to better serve trade and economic exchanges between China and Europe, while boosting the high-quality development of the global port and shipping industry.
