The Guangzhou Futures Exchange has granted approval for the warehouse of Shandong Port Logistics Group's warehouse in Kunming, located in the Yunnan province, to serve as a designated delivery warehouse for silicon metal futures.

It is noteworthy that this marked the first time that Shandong Port Group (SPG) has received such a designation in becoming the first designated delivery warehouse for silicon metal futures. This signified the beginning of its cooperation with the Guangzhou Futures Exchange.

This warehouse has a minimum capacity of 10,000 metric tons and is the first delivery warehouse outside of Shandong province for the Shandong Port Logistics Group.

This warehouse has also held a simulated test market for silicon metal futures delivery.

SPG has successfully obtained delivery qualifications for four commodities: natural rubber, pulp, rubber TSR20, and silicon metal.

Silicon metal is an essential raw material in the silicon energy industry, which benefits low-carbon environmental protection.
