The 2022 Qingdao Annual Economic Achievement Promotion and Release Ceremony were held on May 27, and Shandong Port Group (SPG) and its subordinate units won several awards.

Since its establishment, SPG has steadfastly pursued the goal of seamlessly integrating the port, industry, and city, with a singular focus on propelling the economic and social advancement of Qingdao. As the sole provincial state-owned enterprise headquartered in Qingdao, SPG has played a pivotal role in driving the city's overall progress and development. The remarkable achievements of SPG in 2022, SPG stand as a testament to its unwavering commitment. Notably, SPG recorded an extraordinary cargo throughput surpassing 11.6 billion tons, further bolstered by a container volume exceeding 37 million TEUs. This exceptional performance has catapulted SPG to the pinnacle of global rankings, securing its coveted top position for three consecutive years. Official data shows Qingdao Port of SPG as the foremost port among its global peers in 2022.

The result underwent a series of stages, including social recommendations, corporate self-recommendations, review evaluations, expert reviews, and online publicity. As a result of its outstanding performance, the "Qingdao Port of SPG steps into the forefront of world-class ports" was selected as one of the economic events of 2022. Recognizing their achievements, Qingdao Port was awarded the title of "2022 Qingdao Annual Model Enterprise", ranking 6th in the 2022 Qingdao Enterprise Comprehensive Top 100. Shandong Port Trade Group also ranked 4th place in the 2022 Qingdao Service Industry Enterprise Income Top 50 and 9th place in the 2022 Qingdao Enterprise Income Top 100.

Next, SPG will focus on the goal of "Double First-Class" enterprises and accelerate the construction of a Northeast Asia international shipping hub center with Qingdao Port as the "leader", contributing new strength to help Qingdao build a socialist modern international metropolis in the new era.
