The 2023 Jinan Seminar on Facilitating High-quality Development of the Yellow River Basin kicked off on May 25 in Jinan.

The significant event focused on serving the major national strategy of the Yellow River, promoting joint construction of significant transportation platforms among provinces and cities along the Yellow River basin, comprehensively strengthening land-sea coordination and two-way accessibility, and accelerating the construction of a new pattern for the development of the modern logistics.

At the seminar, Shandong Port Group and Shandong Port Logistics Group signed strategic cooperation agreements with 15 government and enterprise entities, respectively, pushing cooperation between all parties into a new stage. A proposal for the establishment of a modern logistics coordination mechanism for the Yellow River Basin was announced, promoting the smooth flow of roads, interconnected hubs, information communication, business integration, intelligent green transportation, and policy alignment to drive the high-quality development of the basin's economy through modern logistics services.

Fan Bo, the vice governor of Shandong Province, revealed plans to expedite the development of the Yellow River to the Sea Passage. He mentioned, "Shandong plans to accelerate the construction of the Yellow River to the Sea Passage, comprehensively establish a world-class port cluster, facilitate the construction of inland waterless ports along the Yellow River, and establish the most convenient maritime outlet for the Yellow River Basin. Additionally, efforts will be made to accelerate the construction of the Yellow River to the Sea transportation hub and transform Shandong Port into an international shipping hub in Northeast Asia. Moreover, we intend to actively construct the Jinan International Inland Port, Eurasian Train Assembly Center, and the regional logistics center."

The two groups held many activities at the seminar, such as sub-forums and business promotions. The two groups also participated in roundtable discussions to share and stimulate development collaborations with visiting prospects.
