Shandong Port Group (SPG) recently launched a new shipping route from Japan to the Port of Haiphong in Vietnam.

The route will be serviced by three 1,800-TEU Evergreen Marine vessels.

According to port officials, the vessels will depart from Japan and call at Qingdao Port before continuing their journey to the Port of Haiphong.

Shandong Port has over the years been supporting Evergreen and helping them expand their shipping capacity at Qingdao Port with the aim of forming a global strategic partnership and jointly building end-to-end supply chains for the global port and shipping sector.

The launch of the new route will further expand Qingdao Port's international transshipment capacity and help the port become an international shipping hub center in Northeast Asia.
