SPG rolls out special train services to help local firms expand overseas
Shandong Port Group (SPG), the world's largest port conglomerate by cargo capacity, has launched special train services for fertilizer exports from Caoxian Inland Port in Shandong to Qingdao Port, a subsidiary of SPG, with the aim of helping local fertilizer companies expand globally.
The special train services are part of SPG's efforts to promote the development of rail-sea combined transportation modes, which offer a more convenient and efficient way for Chinese enterprises to tap into overseas markets.
Against a backdrop of challenges faced on the domestic and international fronts, SPG and its clients have strengthened the synergy of their development strategies and actively promoted policy coordination. Over the past years, SPG has focused on developing inland ports, rail-sea combined transport and freight channels to improve the timeliness of cargo transport and reduce costs.
