Hosted by the Shandong Provincial People's Government and co-organized by the Qingdao Municipal People's Government, the Shandong Transportation Department, the Department of Commerce of Shandong Province, Qingdao Customs, China Railway Jinan Group and Shandong Port Group (SPG), the 2023 Qingdao Yellow River Basin Land-Sea Linkage High-Quality Development Seminar kicked off in Qingdao on Aug 26.

Themed "Jointly Building Seaborne Corridor for Yellow River Basin and Jointly Creating A New Future for Land-Sea Linkage", the event aims to leverage the leading role of Shandong Peninsula's city cluster, step up efforts to build a land-sea corridor along the Yellow River and foster collaboration to open up new prospects for coordinated development in the region.

During the event, Qingdao customs and SPG jointly unveiled the Qingdao Port-Net version 2.0, which is a part of SPG's integrated supply chain service platform. The new platform is centered on nine products such as intelligent tracking, customs-port connectivity and port finance, which will inject new impetus into the construction of a world-class sea port cluster in Shandong.

The event also witnessed the launch of the International Shipping Hubs Development Index 2023, the Xinhua·Shandong Port Bulk Commodity Index and the RCEP Maritime Trade Index.

In addition, SPG signed cooperation agreements on the building and sharing of the land-sea corridor along the Yellow River with relevant logistics parks and companies. Meanwhile, the Xinhua·Shandong Port petroleum coke and sulphur spot trading price index as well as the Hami Inland Port and Taiyuan Inland Port were launched.
