Qingdao Port's automated terminal (Phase III) in the Qianwan Port area passed its overall acceptance test on Oct 18, two months ahead of schedule.

The terminal covers an area of approximately 602,110 square meters and features two 100,000-metric-ton container berths with a main structure consisting of gravity-type caisson structures. The terminal is 768 meters long and has a depth of 784 meters. The designed annual throughput capacity of the terminal is 1.2 million TEUs, with the initial equipment configuration supporting an annual throughput capacity of 700,000 TEUs.

The first phase of the project passed acceptance on April 3. Following the latest test, the terminal's berths 9 and 10 will become fully operational, expanding the container stacking area by an additional 239,100 square meters and significantly enhancing the scale and efficiency of automated cargo handling at the terminal.
