Accompanied by the booming horn of COSCO Shipping's Galaxy ship, 30 Chery Jetour cars set sail from Qingdao Port, a subsidiary of Shandong Port Group, on Feb 2, bound for the hub port of Abu Dhabi in the United Arab Emirates.

The goods are the first full-chain products jointly launched by Shandong Port Overseas Development Group, Shandong Port Group International Investment Development Co Ltd and their strategic partner COSCO Shipping (Qingdao) Co Ltd. Through COSCO Shipping's one-stop "shipping, port and overseas station" service, the goods will directly arrive at COSCO Shipping's CSP Abu Dhabi station.

To build a first-class supply chain comprehensive service system relying on ports, Shandong Port Group International Investment Development continues to cultivate all-around supply chain service capabilities in West Asia. In 2023, it exported 230,000 tires and 2,118 commercial vehicles worth a total of 220 million yuan ($30.56 million). It is focusing on the "new three" business areas, referring to electric passenger vehicles, lithium-ion batteries and solar panels, exporting 703 units of new energy vehicles from well-known brands such as BYD, Kia, Volkswagen and Changan, totaling $10.13 million in value.
