Rizhao Port, a subsidiary of SPG, played a key role in this improvement by scientifically coordinating port production resources. It managed to accelerate the berthing of large vessels, reduce anchorage time and shorten port stay time by 7.9 percent compared to the previous year. As a result, the port's operational efficiency increased by 24.7 percent, setting production records seven times during the holiday period. Cargo throughput at Rizhao Port increased by 5.9 percent year-on-year, while container throughput rose by 17 percent, and berthing operations of large vessels surged by 41.3 percent, achieving a new record for the Spring Festival period.
SPG's Yantai Port also saw a successful holiday period with its cargo throughput reaching 11.04 million metric tons. The port efficiently arranged flight schedules and transported a record number of passengers and vehicles to various destinations, marking increases of 37.5 percent and 16.4 percent, respectively, compared to the previous year.
Furthermore, in the Shouguang Port Area of Bohai Bay Port, 11 vessels were operated during the Spring Festival, resulting in a throughput of 57,000 tons, an 861.5 percent increase from the previous year. Additionally, port clearance saw a 66.67 percent year-on-year increase, totaling 33,000 tons.
