Bohaiwan Port

Set up in March 28 2018, Bohaiwan Port is one of the four port groups run by Shandong Port Group. With registered capital of 13.5 billion yuan ($1.9 billion), it is responsible for the planning, investment, construction and management of the ports, shorelines and ship routes of Dongying, Binzhou and Weifang. Its business features infrastructure such as ports, wharves, channels, land and logistics parks as well as water transport and shipping agencies.
It has four member enterprises: Weifang, Dongying and Binzhou ports and Shandong provincial seamen training center. In addition, it takes Dongying Wantong Haixin Holding Group and Shandong Jingang Port Group as its holding and joint-stock corporations respectively. To date, it has assets of 30 billion yuan.
With total assets of nearly 2.7 billion yuan, Weifang port now has four productive berths, focusing on building a domestic container pivotal port, passenger and freight ro-ro pivotal port and a sea-river multimodal transport pivotal port.
Dongying port is responsible for Guangli and Dongying ports' market exploitation, project construction and production management. Guangli port now has six 5,000-ton bulk cargo berths and lays emphasis on the sea-river multimodal transport pivotal port.
Binzhou port has two 30,000-ton bulk cargo berths and two liquid chemicals berths. Furthermore, it has been approved as national A-class port by the State Council.
Established in 1997, Shandong provincial seamen training center is a nautical education institution approved by the Ministry of Transport. It has cultivated 60,000 inland river crews, 6,000 sea-craft crews and 18,000 port and shipping staff members, making great contributions to Shandong's port and shipping undertakings.
In 2023, the cargo throughput of Bohaiwan Port exceeded 53.5 million tons and container volume reached 670,000 TEUs, a new historic record.
