Yantai Port sees robust growth in general cargo shipment

An Indonesia-bounded vessel, carrying 22,000 metric tons of construction materials and machinery vehicles , recently departed from Yantai Port of Shandong Port Group (SPG). This milestone marks the annual maritime traffic of Yantai Port's Southeast Asia general cargo route surpassing one million tons in advance, joining the "one-million-ton club" along with the China-Africa general cargo service.
During the vessel's handling operations, the port has customized hoisting plans, ensuring safe operation while reducing dwell time. With precise service, meticulous planning, and efficient labor allocation, the seaport has consistently received high praise from customers, further solidifying its reputation as the nation's best general cargo terminal for service.
Yantai Port, a leading base of SPG for general cargoes and a logistics hub in northern China, continues to solidify its leadership within the industry. It has launched China's first multimodal transport development alliance for general cargo, consistently enhancing brand visibility, broadening cargo services, and optimizing operational efficiency. With the addition of 23 general cargo services to various destinations in Africa, Southeast Asia, South America, and Europe, Yantai Port has reinforced its global footprint. From January to May, the port facilitated the transportation of 4.22 million tons of general cargo, showcasing robust growth momentum and maintaining its position as a top-tier port nationwide.
