SPG wins bidding of operating potassium chloride terminal project in Congo
Shandong Port Overseas Development Group recently received a winning bid notification, securing the contract to operate a potassium chloride terminal project of Luyuan des Mines Congo (L.M.C). The terminal needs to handle 2 million metric tons of potassium chloride per year. The service agreement spans seven years.
Three years in the making, this success marks a significant milestone in the overseas port projects of Shandong Port Overseas Development Group. It stands as the 10th overseas port endeavor managed by Shandong Port Group (SPG).

The project, a public tender by L.M.C, is situated in the Kwilu province of the Democratic Republic of Congo in Africa. The service period is divided into construction and operational phases. The construction phase includes services such as optimizing dock designs, reviewing blueprints, and approving projects. The operational phase entails services like port production scheduling, equipment management, and safety protocols.
