The bonded warehouse project at Kimbo Port in Guinea, an overseas project of Yantai Port, which is a subsidiary of Shandong Port Group (SPG), has received joint approval from multiple local departments.

This signifies a further expansion of Kimbo Port's operation scope and service functions, paving the way for subsequent operations in handling used cars, semi-trailers, unloading engineering machinery, and other related businesses.

Kimbo Port is a joint investment by Yantai Port, Singapore's TOP International Holding Pte Ltd, and Singapore's Winning International Group. Yantai Port has leveraged its expertise to undertake responsibilities such as port design, construction, and post-construction operational affairs.

The project currently boasts one general berth and 31 units of various pieces of port equipment. Since it started operating, the cumulative bauxite loading volume has reached nearly 10 million metric tons. 

In March 2022, Kimbo Port applied to Guinea customs to plan and build a bonded warehouse spanning an area of 7,800 square meters. Due to a variety of factors, progress in the approval of the bonded warehouse has been slow.

In early November 2024, Yantai Port, in collaboration with Shandong Marine Corporation Group, visited Guinea and other countries to conduct business exchanges and promotions and obtained the jointly issued approval document for the bonded warehouse at Kimbo Port.

The formal approval of this bonded warehouse presents a new opportunity to accelerate the integration of traditional port businesses with emerging operations and expand into the vast African market.
