IGTOS, an intelligent general cargo terminal operating system jointly developed by Qingdao Port and Science and Technology Group of Shandong Port Group (SPG), went live at SPG Qingdao Qianwan West Port United Terminal Co Ltd on Feb 13, ushering in a new era for Qingdao Port.

The iGTOS system focuses on technological innovation, business process innovation, and mechanism innovation. It aims to integrate digital technology and business processes, strengthen the digital foundation, expedite technological advancements, drive the transformation and upgrade of port operations, and realize the integrated development of Qingdao Port's general cargo production system.

The launch also signifies an iteration and upgrade of the iGTOS system, which has been optimized to better handle business documentation, operation scheduling, and production control.
