The ship is the largest pulp carrier to ever dock at the port. During its 32-hour in-port operations, a total of 10 handling records were created, with the ship setting a new national record for single-cabin unloading volume at 9,030 tons per voyage. The exceptional efficiency and meticulous handling services provided by Rizhao Port have received praise from both customers and the carrier.

To ensure the ship is unloaded efficiently, Rizhao Port has set up a special working group to design support plans, arranged rounds of pre-arrival meetings, simulated exercises on handling plans, and established a working mechanism involving the cooperation of five port-related institutions such as customs, the border control authority and the maritime safety authority. All these preliminary efforts have laid a solid foundation for the successful in-port operations of the ship.

The head of the Rizhao Port No 3 Company Market Operating Center said that the successful unloading of COSCO SHIPPING WISDOM has been a valuable experience for the port and has boosted confidence. He affirmed the port's commitment to enhancing its core competitiveness in the paper pulp business and providing high-quality, efficient port services to customers.

Moving forward, Rizhao Port plans to establish a one-stop service matrix for general cargo, hoping to build itself into China's largest timber port, a leading port for general cargo liners and an emerging port for vehicles, fertilizers, and pulp.
