A Nigeria-based overseas warehouse supervised by Shandong Port Group (SPG) was officially launched when a batch of 143 Geely cars recently arrived at the warehouse in Lekki Port, Nigeria.

Nigeria, as Africa's most populous country, has seen a surge in automobile demand but faces challenges such as low logistics efficiency and slow customs clearance due to insufficient infrastructure. The SPG Nigeria overseas warehouse aims to enhance logistics efficiency and reduce operating costs by leveraging advantages such as pre-stocking goods and offering full-chain logistics solutions.

The SPG Nigeria overseas warehouse, supervised by SPG West Asia Company and China Harbor Lekki Port Company, operates under international high-standard protocols. On top of traditional storage services, the overseas warehouse also provides customized ocean freight booking, customs clearance, and land transportation services, further enhancing the flexibility of supply chains.

The Geely delivery marks a milestone for SPG Overseas Development Group in its supply chain business and is an innovative approach used by Chinese auto brands to promote internationalization. The Nigerian overseas warehouse optimizes SPG's African market presence, providing a pivotal platform for Chinese auto companies to directly engage with African consumers. Additionally, it will enhance the competitiveness of Chinese auto brands in the African market and propel China-Africa trade and economic cooperation to a new level.
