This accomplishment at the pulp terminal of Shandong Port Group's Qingdao Port highlights the port's strong operational capacity and supports its goal of becoming a global hub for pulp imports and transshipment.

Despite a recent surge in pulp vessel arrivals and disruptions caused by severe weather, including strong winds and heavy rain, the port managed the challenge through proactive coordination. By working closely with shipowners and clients, and with precise deployment by the operations command center and Qingdao pilots station, the port mobilized skilled teams to ensure swift, safe, and optimized unloading. The entire vessel operation was completed in just 21.5 hours, significantly improving berth turnaround.

As the world's largest pulp import port, Qingdao Port continues to refine its strengths in large-scale terminals, extensive storage yards, high efficiency, and value-added services. Its ability to handle complex operations quickly has earned it a reputation as a highly efficient port.

Looking ahead, Qingdao Port will focus on deepening specialization in pulp handling, expanding service chains, and optimizing production organization. These efforts are part of the port's broader strategy to contribute to Shandong Port Group's three major development goals, aiming to increase throughput, international competitiveness, and overall service capabilities in the global supply chain.
