The Sichuan-Chongqing region, as a core engine of development in western China, boasts a prominent strategic location, a robust and comprehensive industrial system, and strong development momentum. Against this backdrop, the Shandong Port Land-sea International Logistics Group has accelerated its strategic deployment, successively establishing inland ports in Panzhihua, a prefecture-level city located in the far south of Sichuan province, and Chongqing. On December 8, 2023, the Group established its first wholly-owned subsidiary in the southwestern region, focusing on tapping into the transportation resources of the southwestern region.
The launch of the northbound train represents a new breakthrough in the construction of the southwestern transportation channel by SPG, expediting the establishment of an international logistics superhighway connecting Sichuan, SPG, and overseas destinations. This initiative makes it easier for Sichuan enterprises to expand into international markets and enhance their competitiveness.
