The vessel Anji Ansheng, the world's largest low-carbon and intelligent car carrier in terms of capacity, completed the loading operations of 3,580 car exports at Yantai Port of Shandong Port Group and set sail on its voyage to Europe.

This represents the second 9,500-Car-Equivalent-Unit (CEU) vehicle carrier to dock at Yantai Port after the car carrier Anji Soundness embarked on its maiden voyage from the port on June 20, indicating that Yantai Port has elevated its capabilities to provide normal handling operations for large-scale car carriers.

During in-port operations, Yantai Port has worked closely with port-related institutions, forming a green corridor for cargo stacking, short barge, customs inspection, customs declaration, and vessel arrival/departure, so as to guarantee efficient handling operations of the vessel.

The vessel Anji Ansheng is China's first domestically built 9,500-CEU car carrier. Measuring 228 meters in length and 37.8 meters in width, the carrier features 13 decks and has a maximum capacity of 9,500 standard vehicles. Its single-trip vehicle capacity is equivalent to 20 standard football fields. Together with its sister ship Anji Soundness, it is currently one of the world's largest low-carbon and intelligent mega car carriers with the largest loading capacity and best performance.

During the January-July period, Yantai Port witnessed a 4.6 percent year-on-year increase in vehicle delivery volume. Its strong vehicle aggregation effect has attracted seven new roll-on/roll-off carriers including the world's largest car carriers Anji Ansheng and Anji Soundness, to start their maiden voyages from the port. This will expedite the export of Chinese-made goods by leveraging its super connectivity as a port.
