SPG launches new intermodal service
A freight train loaded with auto parts left Xinxiang station in Henan province and arrived at Rizhao Port of Shandong Port Group (SPG) for loading operations. The loading of such goods onto a Russia-bound vessel marks the official start of a new intermodal corridor linking Xinxiang and Rizhao Port. This also represents a pivotal step in Rizhao Port's efforts to meet the export demands of hinterland enterprises and facilitate domestic and international economic flows.
Henan is a crucial base for China's auto parts and machinery manufacturing industry. The launch of the train aligns with local enterprises' logistics needs to enter overseas markets. By seamlessly combining transportation modes, including railways, ports, and shipping, Rizhao Port has collaborated with relevant parties to provide end-to-end, one-stop, and comprehensive logistics solutions to enterprises. This will significantly reduce comprehensive logistics costs, shorten transportation duration, and help efficiently deliver Chinese-made products to Japan, South Korea, Southeast Asia, Europe, America, and other international markets.
In the future, Rizhao Port will rely on SPG's advantages in integrated container operations and follow a customer-centric approach to provide more customized and personalized intermodal transportation solutions. This will continuously improve the efficiency of cross-border services and contribute to creating an open framework connecting coastal and inland areas and linking domestic and international markets.
