The Heze (Dongming) Inland Port of Shandong Port Group (SPG) was inaugurated on Dec 1, becoming the 55th inland port launched by SPG and marking a milestone in its endeavors to expand inland markets and strengthen logistics connectivity with hinterland regions.

Dongming county of Heze is located in the southwest of Shandong and the core area of the lower Yellow River, boasting excellent transportation and geographical advantages. Besides acting as a pivotal area for the national strategy of ecological protection and high-quality development in the Yellow River Basin, it also serves as a key node connecting the Central Plains Economic Region and the Blue Economic Zone in the Shandong Peninsula.

The partnership between SPG and Heze has a long and well-established history. Back in 2016, SPG launched intermodal train services and set up the Caoxian Inland Port, providing a vivid example of forging ahead and promoting in-depth cooperation between SPG and Heze.
