Shandong Port Group's (SPG) Yantai Port has reached a new milestone in its Middle East services, with its annual cargo volume surpassing 300,000 cubic meters.

The latest shipments, including steel products and industrial equipment from Jiangsu, Hebei and Northeast China, were consolidated at Penglai Port before departing for markets in the Middle East.

The growth reflects Yantai Port's expanding role as a logistics gateway connecting manufacturers across northern China with overseas markets. Through closer cooperation with ports in Liaoning and Hebei, the port has built a more efficient regional network and strengthened cargo links across the Bohai Rim.

Yantai Port now operates regular services connecting major ports across the Bohai Rim with Saudi Arabia and other Middle Eastern markets, giving manufacturers stable and efficient access to overseas customers.

The port is also extending its services beyond traditional port operations. Industrial materials can now be shipped to Penglai, transferred to nearby factories for processing and assembly, and then returned to the port to be exported as finished products — creating a more integrated logistics and manufacturing chain.

Yantai Port is also expanding its reach across the Bohai Rim, channeling more cargo from Weifang, Zibo and other inland areas through Longkou Port, with direct shipping services to Dubai, Oman and other Middle Eastern markets.

These efforts are making cross-border logistics more efficient, resilient and competitive.
