The city of Hangzhou has started work on beautification projects in preparation for hosting the G20 Summit in September. Two of the projects are Mount Mantou and Mituo Temple.

As of the end of July, 615 illegally built structures were demolished in Mount Mantou neighborhood. Meanwhile, building improvements and cleaning carvings have been completed in Mituo Temple Park.

The host city has also initiated some other social projects, including standardization of signs and citywide coverage of public restrooms.
