Yandang Mountain (雁荡山 yàn dàng shān)

Located in Yueqing county of Wenzhou city, Zhejiang province, Yandang Mountain is one of the China's top 10 must-see mountains. Famous for its magnificent peaks, waterfalls and caves, Yandang Mountain was honored as a "World Geopark" by the United Nations Educational Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) in 2005.
The lake at the top of Yandang Mountain is a haven for wild geese; hence the name "Yandang". Covering 450 square kilometers, the area around the mountain features volcanic rocks, deep valleys, precipitous peaks, mysterious caves and strange rock formations.
There are more than 500 scenic spots scattered through eight major scenic areas, the most famous of which are the Three Best Wonders – the Spiritual Peaks, Dalongjiu Waterfall and the Spiritual Rocks.

Notes:
Weekends are peak travel time. Train and bus tickets are very difficult to buy and accommodation is often full. Also, the Spiritual Peaks are even more dazzling at night, so don't miss them.
