Zhang Xiaoquan Scissor Museum
Zhang Xiaoquan Scissors, which was founded in 1628, the first year of the reign of Emperor Chongzhen of the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644), has over the past centuries developed itself into an enterprise specializing in the production of all kinds of knives and scissors and modern life hardware appliances.
The Zhang Xiaoquan Scissors Museum, a scientific education base run by the brand, mainly engages in the promotion of the time-honored scissor-making technique and various cultural immersion activities.
The museum aims to set up links between culture and brand building so as to enhance people's understanding and recognition of the brand and create a window for the world to better learn about Hangzhou.
It currently exhibits over 1,500 scissors, knives, nail clippers, calligraphy and painting works, and scissors production tools. Its collection also comprises a large number of ancient scissors pictures, documents and replicas.
