According to statistics released by the China Film Administration, China's box office revenue reached nearly 6.76 billion yuan ($998.5 million) during the 2023 Spring Festival holiday, the second-highest gross figure during the holiday to date. Zhejiang sold 482 million tickets, ranking third in the country. The top earners included the twist-filled hit "Full River Red" and the sci-fi blockbuster "The Wandering Earth II".

Zhejiang's box office reached 2.253 billion yuan, ranking third in the country and accounting for 7.5 percent of the total box office in 2022.

Zhejiang introduced subsidy measures in April 2022 for cinemas, which has benefited more than 490 cinemas in seven districts and cities and 53 counties. Zhejiang had a net increase of 50 cinemas throughout 2022.
