Short video series tells world the story of Wenzhou

The premiere ceremony for Meet Wenzhou: A Journey of New Marco Polo was held on the afternoon of June 13, local media outlets reported.
The 17-episode series, presented in the form of short videos, showcases the experiences of 10 young individuals from countries involved in the Belt and Road Initiative and international sister cities.
They followed in the footsteps of Marco Polo, exploring Wenzhou from an international perspective and delving into its culture, unique tourism offerings, and economic development.
Meet Wenzhou is a collaborative effort by the local publicity department, municipal bureau of culture, radio, television, and tourism, foreign affairs office, Wenzhou Medical University, and Wenzhou Radio, Television, and Media Group.
During the ceremony, four foreigners shared their experiences and feelings on being part of the video series. They said that they learned about the rich cultural heritage of Wenzhou as a "thousand-year-old commercial port" and witnessed its modern vitality, charm, and vibrant development.
The latest Meet Wenzhou short videos have been in the works since late 2021, with the directorial team spending over a year planning, filming, and producing the series.
Wenzhou, known for its entrepreneurial spirit and dynamic business environment, has transformed into a city of great significance in the modern era. Meet Wenzhou: A Journey of New Marco Polo provides a platform to showcase the city's transformation, highlighting its achievements and aspirations in the realms of culture, tourism, and economic development.
