40 Zhejiang enterprises make top 100 YRD enterprise list
Forty enterprises in East China’s Zhejiang province have been listed among the top 100 enterprises in the Yangtze River Delta, according to a news conference held in Shanghai on Dec 6.
The 40 enterprises include Alibaba Group, Zhejiang Geely Holding Group and Zhejiang Rongsheng Holding Group, a leading private enterprise in the petrochemical industry.
Meanwhile, Zhejiang is home to 43 top 100 manufacturing enterprises, 34 top 100 service enterprises and 45 top 100 private enterprises.
The business scale of the top 100 enterprises in the Yangtze River Delta has maintained growth. There are 69 enterprises whose operating revenues have exceeded 100 billion yuan ($14.02 billion), three more than the previous year. The total assets of the top 100 enterprises have reached 56.1 trillion yuan, increasing 4.3 trillion yuan year-on-year, said the press conference.
The top 100 manufacturing enterprises have also achieved steady growth in the past year. Their operating revenues have reached 13.4 trillion yuan, rising by 7.98 percent, 1.0 trillion yuan more than the previous year. Their total assets have reached 11.8 trillion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 885.24 billion yuan, or 8.14 percent.
The operating revenue of China Baowu Steel Group, the world's largest steel enterprise, for example, has reached a record 1.09 trillion yuan with a growth rate of 11.87 percent, becoming the first enterprise in the Yangtze River Delta to break the trillion-yuan mark in revenue.
The top 100 private enterprises have grown rapidly in operating income as well, reaching 12.96 trillion yuan, a growth of 1.03 trillion yuan, or 8.61 percent year-on-year.
Furthermore, 13 enterprises in emerging industries have made the top 100 list. Their average revenues have been 189.56 billion yuan, close to the average among all top 100 enterprises.
Their average net profits have achieved 116.08 billion yuan, exceeding the average of the top 100 enterprises.
