Zhejiang welcomed a new addition to its prestigious list of groundbreaking equipment with the unveiling of a list of groundbreaking equipment for the year 2023.

Among the 292 impressive entries, three were confirmed as "global firsts", 53 "domestic firsts", and 236 "provincial firsts".

With this announcement, Zhejiang has successfully nurtured a total of 2,026 pieces of pioneering equipment.

Since 2007, Zhejiang has consistently implemented various projects in an effort to spur the creation of new equipment in various industries.

One notable example is the Cell Genetic Disease Imaging Data Capture and Fully Automatic Analysis Diagnosis System. This system has shortened report generation time from approximately 30 days to just four to seven days, with a required workforce of just one-seventh to one-tenth compared to traditional testing techniques.

This project represents a significant advancement in China's cell genetics testing technology, reaching an international leading level.

To recognize innovations in equipment, Zhejiang offers a reward of two million yuan ($279,218.80) for equipment that is deployed in the world for the first time, one million yuan for equipment deployed in China for the first time, and 500,000 yuan for equipment deployed in the province for the first time.
