Zhejiang's 'two sessions' in 2024 to be held in late January
The second session of the 13th Zhejiang Provincial Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) will convene on Jan 22 in Hangzhou, capital of East China's Zhejiang province.
The decision was made at the fifth meeting of the 13th Zhejiang Provincial Committee of the CPPCC on Jan 9.
Earlier, it had been determined at the 7th meeting of the Standing Committee of the 14th Zhejiang Provincial People's Congress that the second session of the 14th Zhejiang Provincial People's Congress would be held in late January 2024.
The "two sessions" refer to the annual meetings of lawmakers and political advisors, wherein they discuss economic and social development over the past year and make plans for the year to come.
The 2024 "two sessions" will involve the review and deliberation of the work report of the Zhejiang Provincial People's Government, as well as the examination and approval of the report on the implementation of the 2023 national economic and social development plan in Zhejiang province and the plan for national economic and social development in 2024.
