The 2nd Liangzhu Forum, co-hosted by China's Ministry of Culture and Tourism, the National Cultural Heritage Administration, and the Zhejiang Provincial People's Government, opened in Hangzhou on Nov 25.
With the tagline "Exchanges and Mutual Learning for a New Model of Human Advancement", the forum gathered over 300 guests from more than 60 countries and regions, including archaeologists, writers, and musicians. Discussions focused on a diverse array of topics, such as global perspectives on archaeology, the resonance of world literature, and modern reflections on musical traditions.
Centered on China's 5,000 years of civilization and leveraging the UNESCO-listed Archaeological Ruins of Liangzhu City, the forum aims to enhance cultural exchange, explore collaborative pathways, and promote the Global Civilization Initiative. Highlights include a display of the Compendium of Chinese Paintings and a concert titled Echoes of Liangzhu.
